Stop comparing yourself to other people, and I am guilty of it too so I know it is easier said than done. We constantly find ourselves comparing our looks, our possessions, our happiness to other people. I can say I will never live the life of Dan Bilzerian or Jonathan N. Roberts, and not because they are more successful than me but because we are not the same person.
When I turn my gaze towards my own happiness, and challenge myself to be slightly better than yesterday, I find happiness can be appreciated on smaller moments. Even on a bad day, I don’t allow myself to think that I have to work twice as hard to catch up, I just need today to be slightly better than yesterday.
There is no shame in reaching for the stars, but remember the miles of the sky that you have to journey through and appreciate the memories being made.
